Ubiquitous to cities (especially London and Paris), towns and other urban areas the ability to shed it's bark means that it is rather resistant to pollution (although not resistant to being chopped down for development). They are easily recognizable with their patterned camouflage bark, maple shaped leaves and the fact that they are thriving right by the road side up to 100 foot tall.
